Parishoner gives back in hopes of helping Father pay for new roof

He’s only been in the country for three years but already one parish priest has made quite an impression. One of his parishioners wants Father Darvin Salazar to know he’s a ray of hope.

“He’s just a very kind person,” Joseph Cherrito said. “He came to this city about three years ago and didn’t even know the language, and as a result, he has been a tremendous asset to the westside, the wonderful people of this community, and he just loves to help people.”

The church rectory needs a new roof. Cherrito hopes the $300 from Pay It Forward will help in the renovation of that project.
