KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A pedestrian is in critical condition after a car hit them early Thursday morning.

Police say a driver in a gray Nissan was heading west on Independence Avenue just before 1 a.m., when they stuck a pedestrian who was crossing Woodland Avenue and heading north.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where they were listed in critical condition.
