KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Hundreds of runners and walkers came out to the second annual Heroes for Hospice 5K on Saturday morning.
The event had over 570 registered participants. Presenting sponsors of the event helped with costs, so all of the money raised through race entry fees, which ended up being over $25,000, went directly to hospice charities in the Kansas City area. Among the familiar faces in the crowd were FOX 4’s Karli Ritter and her daughter, Kaci Belle, as well as FOX 4’s John Holt, Loren Halifax and Nick Vasos.
A special thanks goes out to all the sponsors, donors, participants and volunteers who were involved in this event.
