KC police investigating homicide near 42nd and Tracy

KANSAS CITY, Mo — One person is dead following a shooting Sunday afternoon at a Kansas City apartment.

Just after 3:45 p.m. officers responded to an apartment just north of 43rd and Tracy. There they found a man who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say several people were inside the apartment when an argument broke out and shots were fired and the victim was struck.

The victim’s name has not been released at this time.

Police are asking anyone who has any information about this case to call the Homicide Unit directly at 234-5043 or TIPS hotline anonymously at 474-TIPS. There is a $25,000 reward for information leading to arrest.
