KANSAS CITY, Mo. --  Police in Kansas City, Mo., may still be searching Thursday morning for carjacking suspects who they believe could be armed.

Police say the alleged carjacking occurred around 2:50 a.m., on the Country Club Plaza at Mill Creek Park.

According to police, several suspects who were armed led police on a chase. Police say the suspects were in a vehicle that had dealer plates.

Three people were taken into custody near 42nd and Prospect. Police did not say how many total suspects there were, but as of 6 a.m., police had cleared the scene near 44th and Agnes.

Rob Collins reports that at one point police said they may be looking for as many as five suspects, so officers may still be searching for two more.

It is unclear if the carjacking victim or victims suffered any injuries.
