
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A police standoff has ended peacefully with one suspect in custody at a residence in the 400 block of N. Elmwood Avenue on Sunday.
The standoff began after a disturbance call came out to police around 9 a.m., and the reportedly armed individual refused to come out of the house.
A suspect described as a white male in mid-40s was taken intp custody for assault charges, after a standoff with police that lasted several hours.
Police said the suspect threatened others inside the home with a shotgun. Police say it was not domestic.
Police eventually found the suspect in the basement and were able to able to arrest him without force.
No injuries were reported.
