Man found dead on KCMO sidewalk

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Police are investigating Kansas City’s latest homicide that happened Monday night.

Around 9:45 p.m. officers were called to the 1800 block of E. 76th Terrace where they discovered a man’s body on the sidewalk.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The victim is identified as 45-year-old Kevin Deardorff of KCMO.

At first detectives called this a suspicious death but during the course of the investigation, they changed it to a homicide.

This is the 37th homicide in Kansas City this year, which is two more than this time last year.
