KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Investigators are at the scene of a suspicious death investigation on Tuesday morning. A man was found on the ground at Olive Park Village near 9th and Olive streets.

It all began with a 911 call around 3:30 a.m., and since that time police have had the area taped off. When they originally arrived on scene it appeared that the man’s body was stuck underneath a car, possibly a Chevrolet Impala, and it may belong to the person who originally called 911.

Fifteen minutes after arriving, and calling for emergency services, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Crime scene investigators have arrived to the scene within the last hour and investigators continue to interview people at the scene. The man’s death is considered suspicious at this point because investigators are not yet sure how the man died.

Details about the man’s identity have not been released.
