Police Release Names of Sandy Hook Elementary School Victims

NEWTOWN, Conn. — Saturday afternoon, officials released the names of the 26 people killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School Friday morning when police say Adam Lanza, 20, opened fire on two classrooms of children.

Among the children murdered, there were 12 girl victims; eight boys. All of the adults killed were women. The victims range in age from 6 to 56.

The Courant newspaper out of Hartford, Connecticut, listed the victims for the people of the area:

Police say Adam Lanza also killed his mother, Nancy Lanza, 54, before he went to the school and killed 26 more.
