COUNTRY CLUB VILLAGE, Mo. — A thief stole credit cards, keys and cash from worshipers during a church service on Sunday at a church north of St. Joseph, and now police are trying to identify and arrest her.

Police say a camera caught the female suspect walking in the front door of the Family Worship Center church at about 10:30 a.m.

About 250 members of the congregation were worshiping in the chapel while the woman wandered through the building, looking for unlocked rooms and taking items from coat pockets.

The Andrew County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.  One of the stolen credit cards was reportedly used to pay for a tank of gasoline at a nearby convenience store.
