POTOSI, Mo. — Police are searching for a former Kansas Jayhawks football player was reported missing on Monday.

A Missouri State Highway Patrol missing persons report says 24-year-old Brandon Kyle Bourbon was last seen on April 2.

Oakland Raiders linebacker Ben Heeney, who is from Overland Park and also played for KU, tweeted out a message of concern for Bourbon.

Facebook users posted on Monday that Bourbon was missing.

One user addressed “anyone in the KC-MO area.”

Bourbon played football for KU until 2014 before transferring to Washburn to finish his career. He was named to Academic All-Big 12 First Team in 2013.

Bourbon is from Potosi, Mo., a town about an hour and a half south of St. Louis.
