Woman Says She Was Raped by Man She Met Online

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating a woman’s report that she was raped early Friday morning inside a car in the area of 56th Street and Norton. The woman told police she initially met the man online.

In her description of him, the woman said the man had numerous rings on his fingers. He was driving an older model red, four-door Chevy Cavalier, which had a cross hanging from a black string on the rear view mirror.

The suspect lived near the Landing Mall, the woman said.

She described him as a dark-skinned black male, 5’11”, 220 pounds. He was wearing a black hat and a gray peacoat.
