KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Officers from Independence, Mo. and Kansas City, Mo. surrounded a home in the 5300 block of Byrums Ford Rd on Saturday, believing at least one bank robbery suspect was inside a house there.
Independence officers arrested two other suspects they say were also part of the robbery of the Enterprise Bank, 18931 Valley View Parkway on Saturday.
Police stopped the two others in a car. Police say the suspects tried to escape by running away and after a brief foot chase, police stopped them and arrested them.
Meanwhile, police surrounded the home where they believed the third suspect was hiding. They initiated an Operation 100 at 1:11 p.m. and began negotiating with the suspect, who surrendered more than five hours later.
The FBI was also investigating the robbery of a different bank on Saturday in the KC Metro area. Bridget Patton, FBI spokesperson, said the picture below is from a robbery at the Arvest Bank, 9300 Blue Ridge Boulevard, late Saturday morning.
