Police: Theft Suspect Shoved Guitar Down Pants

OLATHE, Kan. — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a pair of suspects wanted in connection to the unusual theft of a guitar from an Olathe music store.

According to police, two men walked into the Spencer’s Music Store at 1717 S. Mur-Len Road on the afternoon of April 12th. Police say that one of the suspects distracted a store employee while the second suspect placed a guitar down his pants. The pair then left the store.

Authorities say that the two suspects may be involved in similar thefts across the Midwest.

The first suspect is described as a black male, medium complexion, short hair and medium build, and is in his late twenties or early thirties. He was wearing blue jeans, a black and white jacket with skulls all over it, a yellow shirt with an indistinguishable print on the front, and dark tennis shoes with a white trim near the sole.

The second suspect is described as a black male, medium complexion and a medium build. It is difficult to distinguish age due to the way he is wearing his hat. He was wearing a white baseball cap, grey hooded jacket, dark grey hooded shirt, white t-shirt, dark jeans/pants, and dark tennis shoes with a white trim near the sole.
