OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — As the weather turns cooler, homeowners are taking their improvement projects indoors. Thousands got some fresh inspiration this weekend at the Johnson County Home and Remodeling Show.

Whether you are remodeling big or small, or you are looking for some fun DIY projects, there are about 200 exhibitors on hand, ready to answer your remodeling questions.

Also, plenty of fun on the demonstration stage, including well-known DIY blogger Serena Appiah.
She is showing folks how to use power tools to make projects easier and giving plenty of advice on inexpensive ways to update your home.

Her blog is full of DIY videos. She shared a decorative wall hanging project with FOX 4.

By the way, Serena is giving away all her power tools tomorrow after her 1 p.m. show. She said she doesn’t want to take them home on the plane with her to Maryland.

Johnson County Home and Remodeling Show is going on at the Overland Park Convention Center through Sunday.

Tickets to the show are $10 at the door and $8 online.
