KANSAS CITY, Mo. — No-show wedding photographer Mario Antoine heads to jail Monday. Antoine, who was convicted of nine felony counts of stealing from brides, will serve 30 days behind bars.

The judge suspended the rest of his 13-month sentence, saying he wanted Antoine back in the workforce so he could reimburse the brides he stole from. Antoine has one year to repay $4,900 to the five brides and will be on probation for five years.

Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Bob Schieber had harsh words for Antoine during the sentence, saying he had shown no remorse for taking money from brides and then providing none of the services they paid for. Many of them did not discover they had been ripped off until their wedding day.
