JOHNSON COUNTY, Kan. — More than a half-dozen business owners are cleaning up after a string of attempted break-ins overnight.

Investigators say the suspect has been using a truck in some cases, and a hammer in others to break into the businesses – ranging from a sandwich shop and CBD store in Mission, to a tattoo parlor and pawn shop in Overland Park.

Police are reviewing surveillance footage from the businesses to identify the suspect or the vehicle they may be driving.

FOX4’s Marcus Officer is talking with investigators and will have updates through the morning.
