CHILLICOTHE, Mo. —  The pet monkey that got away from its owner in the Chillicothe area is back where he belongs on Tuesday.

The six-year old male Capuchin monkey, named Harley, is in good health.

Someone called to report a possible sighting and Livingston County Sheriff’s Department deputy responded to the location and found him. He was only a few houses down from his home.

The deputy was familiar with Harley so he had a conversation and told Harley to get in his truck. Harley jumped in and the rest is history.
