SB I-435 reopens at SB I-35 in northland after being closed for nearly 5 hours

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Southbound I-435 at I-35 in the northland is open after being closed for nearly five hours Thursday morning due to an overturned tractor-trailer.

The accident happened around 4 a.m.

Police say the tractor-trailer lost a load of lumber when it overturned. The lumber was sprawled out all over the highway and took crews hours to clean up and resulted in delays for many drivers.

No injuries were reported in the accident.
