KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- More than 11,000 kids from at least 120 different schools across the Metro filled Kauffman Stadium for FOX 4's 14th School Day at the K.
Science teachers brought the thousands of kids for a little bit of learning and a lot of fun.
Wide-eyed and brimming with anticipation, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders took in the show.
"It's so beautiful and I'm just glad to be here," one said.
"I was really excited. I didn't expect it to be this big, though."
They all had their favorite parts; like the non-Newtonian fluid, the hydrogen explosions, and the weather balloon.
"They just shot that thing up in the air and I thought it was really neat!"
They learned it was fun, but also more than that.
"It's for, trying to see how the weather and the world work."
