KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The back-to-school routine has parents and students thinking about healthy, affordable and tasty lunches.
Unfortunately, that’s not an easy combination.
Under an initiative backed by the First Lady, the USDA is challenged to drastically change school lunches, adding fruits and vegetables, low-fat milk, more whole grain, and less fat.
Two 16-year-old juniors investigated the nutritional value in school lunches and made a video for a school project.
