KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person is dead after a security guard in Kansas City, Mo., shot him early Tuesday morning.
Police say around 1:45 a.m., officers were dispatched in regards to a shooting at an apartment complex near 9300 Bales.
When officers arrived they found a man who had been shot to death in the parking lot.
The security guard told police the suspect was a black male in his 20s. The security guard also told officers that the suspect pointed a gun at him. The security guard says he feared for his life and fired at least one time and hit the man.
“The security guard is not injured thankfully,” Darin Snapp with Kansas City police said. “We don’t know what this guy’s issue was as far as why he’s going to point a gun at security guard, but unfortunately he’s death so that’s what we’re dealing with now.”
