KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Residents in one Kansas City neighborhood said they’ve been getting visits from people claiming to be with security company ADT, but they’re really with Vision Security, a Utah-based company that has been at the center of lawsuits.

According to the Better Business Bureau, hundreds of complaints have been filed and government action has been taken against them. FOX 4 reached out to the company for comment, but our calls were not returned. However those in the Hyde Park neighborhood had plenty to say.

“He goes, ‘Don’t call the cops because they’ll just come out here, run our badges and send us on the way,'” Aaron Phillips said about his encounter with one of the men posing as a security representative.
