KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Services have been announced for Carol Brooks, the wife of longtime Kansas City community activist Alvin Brooks.

Brooks died Sunday after a two-year battle with cancer.

She was 78.

Mass Community Choir Rehearsal

Kansas City Choir Members Gloria Britton Ellis and Donell Nolan Sr. are coordinating a Mass Community Choir. If you are interested in participating as part of the Mass Community Choir, the choir will sing during the “Carol Brooks: Gospel Tribute and Celebration of Life” on Friday, July 26th, please attend this mandatory choir rehearsal.

Choir Rehearsal: 6:30 p.m.

Homegoing Mass Celebration

St. Monica Catholic Church: 1616 The Paseo Kansas City, MO 64108
Visitation: 9 a.m – 11 a.m.
Mass: 11 a.m.
Cemetery: Park Lawn 

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Ad Hoc Group Against Crime.
