OLATHE, Kan. — A Shawnee man is accused of pointing a shotgun at a utility worker. Johnson County prosecutors have charged 59-year-old Richard Weber with aggravated assault.
Weber appeared in court on Wednesday afternoon for a video arraignment.
Investigators say on Tuesday morning a 30-year-old worker called Shawnee police and said he was marking cable lines in a backyard near Hallet and West 71st. The worker told police when he walked across Weber`s backyard, he stormed outside, pointed a shotgun at him and shouted at him to get out of his yard.
Weber has bonded out of jail, and is due back in court on October 6.
