KANSAS CITY, Mo. --There's no place like home when it comes to the World Series. However, for one Royals fan there's nothing like "gnome" and he has an attention-getting sight to prove it.
What's 10 feet tall and shows its love for the American League Champion Royals? Gnome Nation knows the answer, and it was getting looks from all around the Kauffman Stadium parking lots Tuesday.
But this isn't the first time Stephen Feilbach has brought his giant Royals gnome to The K. He was front and center during last year's Fall Classic, as well.
The Shawnee Kansas native wants to auction off his giant blue and white friend, and he says he's planning to donate most of the proceeds to charity.
The big gnome is made mostly of Styrofoam and in case you're thinking against buying it for charity, Feilbach advises it has plenty of possibilities.
“It could be a really large garden structure or something you could put inside,” Feilbach says. “You're going to have a pretty good place to put it since it's 10-feet tall. If you lay it down, he could take a constant nap.”
Feilbach says he isn't certain as to what charity he'll donate to. In fact, he says he's open to suggestions as to where to send the money he raises from the gnome sale.
Feilbach also says his Gnome Nation Facebook page has many cool photos of the gnome as it travels.
