Shooting leaves one man dead in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A shooting at Bannister and James A. Reed left one person dead Wednesday night. A white man was found dead in a car by police shortly before 9 p.m. The victim was the only person found in the car.

KCPD Sgt. Kari Thompson said that while no suspect description was available Wednesday night, police were talking to several witnesses in the area.

There are two gas stations near the crime scene and Sgt. Thompson said police will review surveillance footage. Police urge anyone with information about the deadly shooting to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
