TULSA, Okla. — A Southwest airlines jet headed from Kansas City, Mo., to Houston had to make an emergency landing Monday morning in Tulsa, KOTV-TV reported.

Flight 254 landed safely after having mechanical issues, according to a Tulsa airport spokeswoman.

Seventy-two people were on-board the flight when it had to land after crew members found smoke in the cabin of the 737 jet.

The plane was inspected and passengers were placed on a separate flight to Dallas with a connecting flight to Houston.

No one was hurt in the incident.
