KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Firefighters are on the scene of a house fire that spread to a nearby home in Kansas City, Mo., early Thursday morning.
Firefighters say the first started at a home near East 11th and White Ave. The fire was reported by an officer who was driving by on routine patrol and say the flames.
A one-story home was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived on the scene. The fire then quickly spread to the roof a nearby home because of the strong winds.
Both homes are vacant, and no injuries were reported.
