OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — A suspicious U-Haul truck parked near City Hall triggered a brief bomb scare Wednesday in Oklahoma City.
Officials evacuated City Hall and another nearby building as a bomb squad searched the unattended vehicle, which was reported stolen, KOCO reported.
Shortly afterward, police said the truck was empty and that there was no threat.
The incident took place two days after a double bombing at the Boston Marathon killed three people and wounded more than 180, and two days before the anniversary of the 1995 deadly Oklahoma City bombing that killed 168 people.
CNN’s Paul Caron, Josh Levs, and George Howell contributed to this report.
