Tanker Truck Crash Closes Front Street for Time

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A tanker truck crashed on the city’s Northeast side early Tuesday morning, closing Front Street for a time as crews worked to prevent a chemical spill.

According to authorities, the truck –  carrying a load of isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol – overturned on Front Street near River Front Road around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, closing Front Street for an hour and 45 minutes.

Police say that no alcohol spilled in the incident, and there were no injuries in the crash.
