LOS ANGLES (KTLA) — In this month’s edition of Apps to Know, we found an app that digitizes business cards, one that trains you like a UFC fighter and more.

Get your stack of business cards into your phone with CamCard. The app captures information from cards by taking a picture.  While the character recognition isn’t perfect, the app makes it easy to review and edit entries.

The newest version of CamCard lets users create an interactive business card to share by email, text or QR code.  CamCard is available for all major platforms.  Prices range from free to $11.99.

Once you’ve stored your contacts in your address book, use TextPlus to keep in touch with friends.  The app assigns you a phone number so anyone can get in touch with you by texting or calling.

The eBay owned app Red Laser is great for doing in-store price checks.

Version 4.4 of the iPhone app features local deals and coupons.  Red Laser can even direct customers to the right aisle in Walgreens and some Home Depot stores.

Train like a UFC champ with Georges St. Pierre’s Touchfit GSP. The app offers personal training that adapts to you the more you use it.  Touchfit GSP is available for $7 on iOS.

Finally, have a blast playing Alien Hive.  The game doubles as part match and part sliding puzzle.  Alien Hive is free for iOS and Android.
