LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. -- A team of detectives spent hours in a Lee's Summit neighborhood on Thursday investigating a 14-year-old girl's claims that three boys sexually assaulted her inside a house near S.E. Seventh Street and Cumberland on Sunday morning.

Investigators say the girl told them she was visiting someone when the boys, ages 14, 15, and 16 attacked her. The boys live in the home.

When detectives arrived at the home, the police presence alarmed neighbors.

"They had 15, 12, 15 people just running in and out of the house," said Nick Rellihan, a neighbor. "I looked out my window. I just saw cops with shotguns."

Rellihan says at one point the officers had their guns drawn and canines ready.

He says his family knows the family who lives in the home being searched.

"I've talked to their kids and they've come over and played in our yards a lot, talked to the guys that live there," he said.

Investigators removed several brown paper bags and plastic bins filled with possible evidence. None of the family members were there when police executed the search warrant and no arrests were made in the case.
