KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Neighbors in the Hyde Park neighborhood called police after spotting a group of teens jumping on and kicking cars. They said it happened near 43rd street and Charlotte on Sunday around 9 p.m.
“Anytime there was a car they would kick it or they would throw something at it and then when they got here they started running across the tops of the cars just jumping from one car to the next,” said Brent Kinder, who called police.
Kinder said some of the teens looked as young as 15 years old. He said they jumped on every car for two blocks and then returned an hour later and started to jump on cars on the other side of the street.
Craig Mildrexler, who also lives in the neighborhood, said he heard the teens from inside his house Sunday night.
“I heard a lot of hooting and hollering and I looked out the window and there was a group of about right kids walking up the middle of the street here,” he told FOX 4.
Kinder said by the time officers arrived the teens were gone.
