GARDNER, Kan. — Police are looking for a thief who stole alcohol from Gardner Liquor Store, 18865 S Gardner Rd. Monday night. The owners say shortly after they closed their business their surveillance cameras caught a man on video smashing their front glass door with a huge hammer.
Once inside the business, the owners told police the bold thief quickly grabbed more than a dozen bottles of vodka, Jim Beam and other liquor, tossed the liquor in a big bag, ran outside and hopped in a Chevrolet truck that sped off.
Detectives hope someone recognizes the thief seen in the surveillance photos and calls Gardner police. Police say the man’s two-door truck has an extended cab and possibly Missouri license plates.
