PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. — Fire crews responded to reports of a truck running into a home early Monday morning.

According to the battalion chief, a man driving a black pick up truck went through a stop sign at Northwest 59th and Raintree in unincorporated Platte County. The man then crashed into a home nearby.

There were three people, two adults and an elderly person,  inside of the home, according to the battalion chief.

The battalion chief said that the truck hit a gas meter and gas quickly filled up the home, causing all three people inside to be evacuated.

No injuries have been reported, according to the battalion chief.

According to the Fire Chief,  the driver was in his mid-20’s and has a medical condition. The driver was taken to the hospital to be treated for anxiety.

The homeowners cannot get back in their house until the gas company comes out and replaces the meter.
