KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two separate investigations were launched Thursday night, a double homicide investigation and an armed robbery investigation; and Kansas City Police are looking for information on both.
At about 11 p.m., police responded to a shooting at 40th and College. They found one man dead or dying in the street. Then, two other gunshot victims arrived at the hospital and police say they were involved in the same shooting. One of those men died at the hospital.
“We believe there was also a vehicle here prior to our arrival that left and had the other two shooting victims in that vehicle. They went to the hospital. One of them also has died at the hospital the other one is still there in stable condition,” said Capt. Tye Grant with KCMO Police Dept.
Then, in a separate investigation, police are looking for the two men who threatened with a handgun and robbed two convenience stores overnight.
The first happened just after midnight at I-435 and Eastwood Trafficway. Two men wearing hoodies robbed the Fast Stop convenience store using a handgun.
They were driving a grey-colored Ford. No one was hurt in that incident.
Then, about an hour later, just before 1 a.m., two men with the same description robbed the 7/11 at 63rd and Oak. They were also wearing hoodies and driving a grey Ford.
