TOPEKA, Kan. — A little Topeka girl who survived a stranger setting her hair on fire is back at school.

Doctors and nurses at the University of Kansas Hospital’s burn unit treated Jayden Beddo for suffered serious burns on her head and hands.

Beddo says a stranger approached her while she was playing outside back in January and took a lighter to her hair.

She says she just wants all her hair back, and eventually she’ll get it, but it will take more surgeries and procedures.

Beddo will have to miss a little bit of school at the end of the year for a surgery which will help restore her hair.

So far, police have not made any arrests in the case.
