KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A tractor-trailer fire caused portions on eastbound I-70 to close late Thursday morning.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol officer Sgt. Colin Stosberg the tractor-trailer caught on fire near Adams Dairy Parkway.

Sgt. Stosberg says there are injuries related to the accident, but the extent of the injuries and the number of injuries are unknown.

Drivers were diverted onto Adams Dairy while first responders worked to put out the fire and clear the scene.

All the lanes of eastbound I-70 were able to reopen around 12:30 p.m.
