KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating after a triple shooting left one person dead and two others with serious injuries Saturday.

Officers responded to the area near Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard and the Paseo around 1 a.m. on a report of a shooting.

Officers discovered three people had been shot. 21-year-old Jamon Morgan died of his injures and two others were transported to a local hospital in serious condition.

Investigators said Morgan was involved in a disturbance with the suspect when he was shot.

Police later confirmed that the two men knew each other. They said one of the victims was part of a party bus group.

Police did not give a description of the suspected shooter, but said they are searching for a white Dodge Charger that may have been involved in the incident.
