OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Hal Wagner owns Ace Sports in Oak Park Mall, and the deals he’s giving out on Chiefs tickets aren’t just because it’s Black Friday.

“Immediately after the San Diego loss at home, prices plummeted, and now they’re selling for a little over $100 apiece,” Wagner said.

Compare that to two weeks ago when Wagner says tickets for this Sunday’s game would have cost about $300 apiece or more!

“I’m a little bit surprised that they dropped as far as they did, considering that after eleven games, we’re still in first place,” he said.

Wagner says it’s because fans’ enthusiasm is declining.

“Right now we’re running 20% off on all Chiefs apparel, if that tells you anything, we wouldn’t be doing that if the Chiefs were you know, 11 and 0,” said Wagner.

At Rally House on the Plaza, however, employees say Chiefs gear sales have been strong the entire season.

“It’s still doing great.  Everybody still supports them,” said Bryan Fregeau from Rally House.
