LAWRENCE, Kan. — Police identify two people shot and killed inside a Lawrence cemetery.
Officers arrived at Oak Hill Cemetery around 8:45 Wednesday morning to check out a call about people arguing.
When they arrived, officers found Robert Sowders, 36, of Overland Park, and Ana Marie Jessee, 22, of Lawrence, suffering from gunshot injuries.
The police department said both Sowders and Jessee died before they could be transported to a hospital. The case is being investigated as a possible murder-suicide.
