KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A group military veterans say if a natural disaster hits the Midwest they are ready to respond because they now have an office in town.

Team Rubicon members spruced up their new space at 207 Westport Road on Saturday. The group says they are unique because they have training others don't from being on the front lines overseas. They say that gives them an edge to respond faster than a conventional organization.

Members also hope their new office will be a place where returning veterans can find comfort in people who have been through the same experiences.

Team Rubicon will hold it's grand opening at the office on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Members say this office is a pilot for the non-profit.  Team Rubicon's headquarters is based in California.
