KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating the stabbing of a man Friday morning at about 9:45 a.m. at Booth and Thompson on Kansas City’s Northeast side.

Police say the victim — a man in his 20s — sought help at the Quick Trip located at 8501 Winner Road. Police said when the man arrived at the convenience stores, offices were there and provided assistance.

The victim was transported to a hospital in stable condition. Authorities said he suffered cuts to his chest during a fight at a home nearby.

Police said they have spoken to two witnesses who provided suspect information.

No other information has been released at this time.
