HOUSTON (AP) — The sister of a man who was fatally stabbed with a stiletto heel by his girlfriend tells jurors his violent death is “like a nightmare” she wishes she could wake up from.
Prosecutors on Wednesday finished presenting testimony in the punishment phase of the trial of Ana Trujillo (troo-HEE’-yoh).
Trujillo was convicted of murder for striking 59-year-old Alf Stefan Andersson at least 25 times in the face with her 5 ½-inch stiletto shoe heel during an argument in June at his Houston condominium. Her attorneys say she was defending herself from an attack.
Marie Andersson Bremberg, the victim’s sister and one of the final prosecution witnesses, told jurors Trujillo “destroyed our lives.”
Trujillo faces up to life in prison for Andersson’s death.
