RICHMOND, Texas -- Dash cam video shows a Richmond, Texas police officer rescuing a woman who was lying on a set of railroad tracks around 1 a.m. on Sunday, June 22. With a train speeding toward her, Officer Ramon Morales, 27, jumped out of his patrol car and ran to get her.

Dash cam video shows him dragging her away from the tracks and coming into full of the camera. Seconds after he's clear of the tracks, the train -- with horn blaring -- races by. The woman can be heard crying. She was transported to an area hospital for assessment.

According to the Richmond Police Department, Morales has only been with the department for about 10 months.
