KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As the city of Orlando deals with the aftermath of the horrific shooting overnight at a gay nightclub, the shockwave is still being felt by the LGBT community, and all those who condemn such reckless violence.

The Kansas City community is standing in solidarity with the victims of the shooting with a vigil scheduled for 6:30 – 8 p.m. Sunday at Barney Allis Plaza, located at 299 West 12th Street.

Mayor Sly James said the Bond Bridge will be lit in rainbow colors as a show of support.

The City of Orlando set up a victims page on the city’s website listing the names of the victims. The list is updated when the next of kin have been notified.
