KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Severe storms rolled through the metro area Friday night, and tornado warnings were issued for some.

The National Weather Service says radar confirmed a tornado south of Odessa in Lafayette County. FOX4 is working to gather more information on that storm.

Otherwise, the tornado warnings in other counties were issued because of straight-line winds and severe storms capable of producing a tornado.

For more than an hour, the FOX4 weather team covered the severe weather live as it moved across the metro. You can replay that coverage in the video player above, but it is outdated at this point.
