KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Westport business is making national waves.
Ruby Jeans juicery was chosen by Yelp as one of the country’s top 100 businesses out of three-million. Chris Goode opened Ruby Jean’s just 14 months ago, the juice bar is named after his grandma. She died when he was in high school of diabetes and kidney disease. That sparked a passion for health that he wanted to spread across the metro; a passion that is gaining national attention.
“It’s truly humbling. I don’t think I’m so awesome that I’m able to do this all myself. I think Kansas City is really a place that supports something that comes from a genuine place. I think what sets us apart is that passion behind it. It leaves me speechless that we are kind of catapulting into a national spotlight,” owner Chris Goode said.
Yelp is flying Chris out to San Francisco, along with 99 other entrepreneurs to learn more tricks of the trade.
Ruby Jean’s is expanding throughout the metro area, with plans to have three locations by Spring 2017.
