Woman charged with stealing nearly $20,000 from employer

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — A woman was charged Tuesday with stealing $19,965 from her employer between Jan. 2 and July 3, according to the St. Joseph News-Press.

According to the probable cause statement, Christie Lynn Young worked for Goetz Credit Union, which reported the missing funds on July 5 to the St. Joseph Police Department. Young was a 22-year employee, and worked as a customer service representative and a teller, according to the statement.
